Reboot at Debra – May 13th 2017
Reboot is project led by King’s College London (KCL) which aims to redesign footwear for people living with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) – a rare skin condition affecting around 5,000 people in the UK.
As consultants to this project, OurOwnsKIN have recently been involved in patient and public involvement workshops (PPI) with EB patients to understand daily challenges facing this community and desirable design features for future footwear styles.
Findings from this initial session will be developed collaboratively alongside people affected by EB, medical product company Walk with Path, and researchers at KCL to create footwear prototypes and solutions.
